Personality: No matter how Maicex is really feeling, he’s always got a smile on his face in public. His parents always told him to smile for the crowds and it became such a habit that he can’t stop, even if he wanted to. It takes quite a lot to crack his smiling facade, and Maicex can be quite frightening when that happens. He’s been known to get extremely violent when he’s upset, hurting even those he considers friends. Most of the time though, he’s rather easygoing. He loves being surrounded by people, friends or not. He holds a special place in his heart for little girls between the ages of six and ten because they remind him of his little sister. He's very sweet and protective of them, like a big brother. He’s also quite the flirt, male or female, though he likes boys better. Maicex can be quite the chatterbox, talking about anything that comes to his mind, but never the things that really matter to him. He gets very defensive if anyone asks him about his life before he came to be a part of Cirque D'horreur. He’ll refuse to talk, and if they keep asking he’ll walk away. If that doesn’t stop them… Well, that would be one of the times he stops smiling.

Maicex enjoys the playacting that goes along with being a fortune teller. He thinks it’s all rather fun, tricking people with smoke and mirrors, especially when he doesn’t have to. Maicex has had moments in his life where he really has seen the future, but they’re few and far between. Most of his “fortune telling” is just intuition and guesswork, though his guessing is usually very accurate.

History: Maicex’s is not the name he was born with. His parents named him Xavier, but he changed his name after he turned twelve. Xavier’s parents owned a traveling circus that was quite famous for its spaceage themes. It was known as the Celestial Circus. His mother, Maizie, was the ringmaster and his father, Cedric, was the top magician. Xavier was raised loving the circus and all the people in their troop. He regarded them all like family, and they adored him. He learned a little bit of everything from every member of the Celestial Circus, but he found that he really loved fortune telling and illusions. He was really torn between which of the two to follow, and then he had a vision. He saw one of the acrobats fall from the highwire and break his leg. It was a trick they’d done a million times and he was only five at the time and he didn’t believe it was real… Until he saw it come true the next day. From that point on her began to focus more of his attention on learning everything there was to know about fortune telling. He still loved to play at illusions, juggling and contortion, but fortune telling became his passion.

When he was six his parents has another child. They named her Andromeda. Xavier doted on his litter sister, teaching her all his tricks and carrying her around everywhere.

When he was ten he had another vision. He saw a mob of angry townies attacking the troop, claiming that they were devil worshipers and were there to corrupt their children. The mob was out of control, and even though his parents tried to reason with them they went berserk. The mob attacked the Celestial Circus. In the confusion someone let the animals free and the stampeded through the area. Xavier saw the mayor of the town stab his mother and his father get mauled by the lion. There was no sign of Andromdea. Xavier refused to believe that the vision could be true, and so he ignored it. Nothing happened right away, so he relaxed, thinking it was all just a bad dream. Then a few weeks after his eleventh birthday they reached a small town… And his vision came true. He was “rescued” by a man from the town, Harold, who attempted to save his soul from the “corruption” he’d already been exposed to. Xavier was so mad with grief that he was severely sick for months. He didn’t eat, he didn’t talk, he didn’t sleep. He couldn’t even make himself stand up against the man who was trying to save him.

A year passed, and then Xavier had another vision. He saw Harold drown him in the bathtub because he was “demon possessed”. Xavier refused to let this vision come true. He ran away, dyed his hair, got color changing contacts and changed his name. He combined the beginning of his mother’s name and the beginning of his fathers name together and then added an ‘x’ onto the end as attribute to his old name. The newly named Maicex hitchhiked across the country, hooking up with a biker gang for part of it, which is where he got his piercings. Eventually he ended up in Sacromento Californa and heard about Cirque D'horreur. He really missed the circus life so one day he just presented himself to Ciel and showed off his skills. He was hired on as a fortune teller, though he does help out with illusions when fortune telling is slow.

* The Celestial Circus had theme colors of pale blue, silver and gold, Maicex wears them to honor his deceased family.
* Maicex chose the stage name Andromédē in honor of his little sister.
* Because he didn't see her die with everyone else Maicex still looks for his little sister, hoping she's still alive.
